When a senior dog enters a shelter, their future is often heartbreakingly short. With gray muzzles and slower steps, they are the first to be overlooked and too often the first to be euthanized. Yet, these dogs have given a lifetime of loyalty and love—they deserve peace and dignity, not abandonment.
That’s why we created Elderleash, a program dedicated to saving senior dogs and giving them the golden years they deserve.
Now, we have the chance to do even more. On our Berkshire Farm Sanctuary property, there is a building waiting to be transformed into a Senior Dog Sanctuary—a place where older dogs will have cozy beds, warm fireplaces, medical care, and the love they’ve been denied.
✨ But we cannot do this without you. Renovating this building into a safe haven will take resources—and every donation brings us one step closer.

- Provide medical care and comfort to senior dogs in need.
- Renovate and furnish a building into a true sanctuary.
- Give forgotten dogs a chance to live their final years surrounded by compassion, not fear.

What We Will Provide:
- Emergency Shelter Pulls: Rapid rescue of senior dogs at risk of immediate euthanasia.
- Comprehensive Medical Care: Includes diagnostics, surgery, medications, heartworm treatment, dental care, and pain management.
- A Sanctuary Setting: A safe place where dogs can heal and adjust while we search for their forever families and if not, they will stay with us.
- Adoption Placement: We match each dog with adopters who understand and appreciate the joy of senior companionship. Many of these dogs will be adoptable, they will not need our forever home. Our goal is to give them the best quality life possible.
